From June 9-16, 2018 – a team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers went to multiple locations in Panama and provided free services for the underprivileged.
There were a total of 12 volunteers from the USA and one volunteer from Canada – 4 MD’s, 2 nurses, and 6 non-medical volunteers.
June 9 – Arrival
June 10 – Travel to Volcan and preparation
June 11-12 – Volcan
- We had the help of local doctors from the Minsa Capsi Hospital along with optometry students.
- 893 patients seen there and 800 glasses given out.June 13 – Rest and recovery
June 14-15 – Caimitillo
- KMF was supported by local optometrist and optometry students along with local doctors.
- 672 patients seen, 481 glasses handed out.
June 16 – Travel home
This mission was in conjunction with Lions in Sight of Panama.
